Now
A snapshot, not a résumé. If it's here, it's what I'm actually spending evenings on.
- Building
- Featurama - pushing on the realtime feed and cleaning up the filter pipeline so it stays server-side as the graph grows.
- Teaching
- Certificate Teacher - a small app that walks through how certificate chains actually work: HTTPS, importing into a Java keystore, standing up a reverse proxy. You prove you got it by passing a test; I see everyone's results as the admin.teacher.ioannisbatsios.com
- Learning
- AI by building the tools it runs on, not just reading about it. Wrote Athena, a Skill that drafts a README, deployment guide or KBA from fixed templates and marks every inferred value instead of inventing one, and Kickoff, a Claude Code plugin that turns a filled-in intake form into a full project scaffold. Best way I've found to understand how an agent actually thinks is to keep writing the instructions it follows.github.com/IBatsios/agent-skills
- Shipping
- This site, rebuilt from scratch. Astro, twelve tiles, and a Cloudflare tunnel running off a machine in my house.
- Shooting
- Prepping for Key West - and really for the drive down to it. US-1 leaves Miami and spends the next hundred-odd miles on causeway and bridge, open water on both sides, which is a hard thing to shoot well at speed. Scouting pull-offs and working out where the light lands before I'm out there guessing.
- Reading
- LocalStack's docs, mostly. The company's first AI server is a real 4U box going into the rack rather than a cloud account, so I'm working out how to run an AWS emulator on it and build, break and rebuild the whole stack before any of it touches a live account.docs.localstack.cloud
- Next
- Greece, if the flights hold.
